the clients' needs. Gingko's Custom Program is the solution.
Because we are
responsible for the entire production process from design to timber
selection to construction to finish to shipment and final delivery,
we are able to offer an unparalleled degree of flexibility in terms
of rapid customization.
Modifications To Standard Pieces
We can often modify standard pieces to fit your needs. Examples of
modifications include:

Changes in length, width and height

Beds made for
special mattresses; beds for mattress and box spring combos

Drawers added to
tables or cabinets

Extra shelves
added to side chests and tall cases

Alternative
pulls, including substituting pulls, no pulls, or using your pulls
Unique Designs
Even as the
number of standard pieces we offer continues to grow, we
also build custom furniture within our design vocabulary.
If you require a unique design, we’ll work
with you to draw the piece and ensure that it will be structurally
sound. Our woodworkers enjoy the challenge of creating and
building new one-of-a-kind pieces.

Time Line
All of our furniture is hand built in China. We attempt to
keep some inventory on our standard items. Custom pieces
obviously would be built to order and a leadtime of 8 to 10 weeks
should be anticipated.
Custom Quotations
Each customization will impact the design, materials and
construction in different ways and will result in different
customization charges. If you are interested in a
customization, please contact one of our Store Managers in our San
Francisco or Mountain View locations or call 866-645-6764 or contact us
via email. Please let us know the following information:

The reference piece you are customizing

Your desired width, depth and height of the piece

The customizations you require in terms of drawers, shelves,
cabinet doors, etc .

Any other requests you may have.

As a basic principle, we will not quote or accept a custom job if we
are not sure that we can execute it satisfactorily with the
materials and processes we employ regularly. If the
customization is minor, the Store Manager may be able to provide you
a preliminary quote for budgetary purposes. Should you choose
to proceed. Gingko will prepare a formal written quote that will
most often be accompanied by a drawing. Upon your approval and
order placement full payment is required. All custom orders
are non-refundable.
