The picante fabric is a dull shade of red though it has darker hues mixed in as well. The wood is sculpted and finished nicely. During assembly, I found it beneficial to put some wood glue on the four screws that are needed to attach the seat on to the base. The chair is comfortable and true in form to it's mid century modern heritage.

Nicely built chairs. The wood feels sculpted and smooth. Cushion covers are washable (dry clean). The chairs are modern but not so stylized they don't fit our more informal decor.
