The entryway is the hardest-working room in the house, and it rarely gets the furniture it deserves. The Dexter Storage Shoe Bench is designed to change that.
Like everything at Gingko, the Dexter is built from solid wood by skilled carpenters and arrives fully assembled. There's no assembly required — and more importantly, no assembly compromise. When furniture is built by hand rather than put together with Allen keys, the joints are tighter, the structure is more stable, and the whole piece simply holds up better over years of daily use.
The Dexter earns its place in three ways. The upholstered cushion on top gives you a proper seat for getting shoes on and off — not just a flat surface to balance on. The open lower shelf keeps frequently worn shoes accessible and off the floor, which goes a long way toward making an entryway feel orderly. And the drawer pulls closed on everything else: chargers, keys, dog leashes, mail, the things that pile up on every flat surface near a front door.
The effect is an entryway that looks composed rather than lived-in. Which, of course, it still is — everything is just where it belongs.
The Dexter works just as well in a hallway or bedroom, and multiple units can be placed side by side for larger spaces or shared households.

Where is this bench made?

When will my purchase ship?
Orders for Items that are in stock will ship in 3-4 business days. When your order ships, you will receive an email notification and tracking information associated with the order.
When will my purchase arrive?
Ninety percent of our items ship via FedEx or UPS. The transit time from our warehouse in Northern California to your shipping address will depend on your actual location but is generally within 3-7 business days.
Large, oversized items ship via LTL carriers and the transit time is approximately 10-14 days.
When your order ships, the shiping method and tracking information will be emailed to you.
What is the warranty?
Our furniture is built to last. The Warranty Period is one year from the date of receipt. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. If there is a defect in the material or the build of the item, it will become apparnt in the first year of use. This does not mean that you should expect our furniture to last only one year--quite the opposite. We use quality materials and workmanship to produce pieces that will enjoy for many years--some may be passed along to your future generations!
What if I change my mind?
We want you to enjoy our furniture and try to describe and depict each piece as clearly as possible. If you recieve your piece and decide it doesn't work for you, it may be returned within 30 days from receipt. The Return Authorization Procedure requires you to notifiy us by email and request authorization. All items must be received in like new condition in order to qualify for full refund of the product cost. Learn more about Returns.
